SEEK THE LORD CONTINUALLY

"Seek the Lord and his strengt, seek his face continually." 1 Chron. 16:11.

Prayer is heaven's ordained means of success in the conflict with sin and the development of Christian Chracter. The divine influences that come in answer to the prayer of fiath will accomplish in the soul of the supplieant all for which he pleads. Fr the pardon of sin, for the Holy Spirit, for a Christlike temper, for wisdom and strength to do His work, for any gift He has promised, we may ask; and the promise is, "Ye shall receive." Acts of the Apostles, p.564

When the mind of man is brought into communion with the mind of Gd, the finite with the infinite, the effect on body, and mind, and soul, is beyond estimate. In such communion is found the highest education. It is God's own method of development. Ibid., p. 126.

Not al your good purposes and good intentions will enable you to withstand evil. You must be men and women of prayer. Your petitions must not be faint, occasional, and fitful, but earnest, persevering, and constant. It is not always necessary to bow upon your knees in order to pray. Cultivate the habit of taking with the Saviour when you are alone, wen you are walking, and when you are busy with your daily labour. Let the heart be continually uplifted in silent petion for help, for light, for strength, for knowledge. Let every breath be a prayer. - Ministry of Healing, pp. 510, 511.
